Excited State Branching Processes in a Ru(II)‐Based Donor–Acceptor–Donor System
The photoinduced electron transfer processes in a Ru(II)‐based push–pull–push architecture which combines an inorganic and organic chromophore are elucidated in a joint spectroscopic‐theoretical approach. The applied design concept allows the excited state to be localized away from the metal onto the organic chromophore.

For the first time, this study demonstrates a huge advantage of the clathrate Ba–Ni–Ge intermetallic bulk over metallic nickel as a high‐performance alkaline OER precatalyst. It displays remarkable activity and stability under high current densities, facilitated by a thorough reconstruction process that yields a porous and defective NiOOH ...

Femtosecond Pulse Shaping with Semiconductor Huygens' Metasurfaces
Spatially variant silicon Huygens' metasurfaces enable femtosecond pulse shaping by tailoring the spectral phase and amplitude of incident pulses. Two key functionalities are demonstrated: temporal stretching and pulse splitting of an input Gaussian pulse.

Mimicking Symmetry‐Breaking Einstein Ring by Optical Lens
This article uses an optical lens to emulate the gravitational lensing effect and observe the Einstein ring (ER) patterns. The symmetry‐breaking ER, i.e., Einstein cross, is observed utilizing a rotation‐symmetry‐breaking hemi‐ellipsoid lens. Deformed Einstein cross patterns induced by noncollinearly alignment of the light source–lens–observer are ...

How do chemical and physical processes involving multiple phases develop on compact astrophysical objects such as white dwarf stars? Herein, entropy‐driven self‐assembly of rod‐shaped nanoparticles in centrifugal acceleration fields up to 7251 times the gravity of Earth is investigated, where strong acceleration fields accelerated the kinetics of phase

Benzannulation of dibenzopentalene leads to dinaphthopentalenes, of which, we synthesized the linear and anti‐isomer as thioethers with various substituents. Depending on the annulation pattern, their optoelectronic properties strongly differ. Of particular interest, is an increased antiaromaticity resulting from the anti‐annulation pattern, indicated ...

Abstract INTRODUCTION The extent to which Alzheimer's disease (AD) concerns relate to pathological changes in cognitively unimpaired populations is unclear. METHODS We analyzed screening data from the Anti‐Amyloid Treatment in Asymptomatic Alzheimer's (A4) study to determine if AD concerns are associated with amyloid burden in cognitively unimpaired ...
