In this paper, I reveal that Albert Ellis does actualise his gene for efficiency in the practice of REBT. This is shown in his decreasing use of words and in a corresponding increase in the use of letters and acronyms. A transcript of one of Ellis's therapy sessions is used to demonstrate this in action.
