Complete microbial degradation of aldicarb
Microbial degradation appears to be the most important approach in handling recalcitrant compounds (e.g. pesticides) in soil. In the present study, aldicarb (AS: the active ingredient of TemikĀ®) [2- methyl-2-(methylthio) propionaldehyde 0-(methyl-carbamoyl) oxime], was chosen as a model pesticide to understand complete microbial degradation.
