Hydrolysis studies of aldicarb, Aldicarb sulfoxide and aldicarb sulfone

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1983
Abstract Hydrolysis studies were conducted on aldicarb, aldicarb sulfoxide and aldicarb sulfone for 186 to 228 d. These long-term studies show that, for a given temperature, the reaction rate constants for the three compounds are relatively constant below pH 7 and increase rapidly as the pH increases beyond 7.

Aldicarb poisoning

Human & Experimental Toxicology, 2000
Aldicarb (2 ethyl-2 (methylthio) propanal o-[(methlamino)-carbonyl] oxime) is a pesticide manufactured since 1965. This carbamate ester is sold under the tradename, Temiks, and is used as insecticide and nematicide. The Environmental Protection Agency has classified aldicarb in the highest toxicity category and has defined a strict control for its ...

LABORATORY STUDIES ON MECHANISMS FOR THE DEGRADATION OF ALDICARB, ALDICARB SULFOXIDE AND ALDICARB SULFONE

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1987
Abstract Experiments were performed in order to better define the degradation mechanisms and kinetics for aldicarb and its two metabolites, aldicarb sulfoxide and aldicarb sulfone. The mechanisms studied were oxidation in surface soil and saturated zone soil samples, degradation in saturated zone soil samples and distilled water ...
