Specifically Regulated Pesticides in Florida -- Aldicarb

open access: yesEDIS, 2005
Certain individual pesticides or groups of pesticides have specific regulations that pertain to them. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is the agency responsible for determining these regulations under Chapter 5E-2 ...

Postsynaptic Complexin Mediates Constitutive Exocytosis of Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 32, 9 June 2026.
Beyond its established presynaptic role, complexin is identified as a postsynaptic regulator of neurotransmitter receptor trafficking. By promoting constitutive and activity‐dependent exocytosis of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, complexin controls spontaneous synaptic signaling at the C.

Aldicarb Toxicosis in a Flock of Sheep [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation, 1992
Aldicarb toxicosis was diagnosed in 200 sheep that died suddenly. Carbamate insecticide toxicosis was suspected based on observed clinical signs (hypersalivation, diarrhea, urination, paddling, seizures, miosis, and deaths occurring within 1 hour). Tissue samples were submitted from 4 Columbian ewes for pathologic and analytical evaluation.

Ecological Impacts of Chemical Fumigants on Nematode Community Composition

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Chemical fumigants impact nematode diversity, community composition and nematode‐based indices. ABSTRACT Soil fumigation is widely used to control targeted plant‐parasitic nematodes in agricultural systems, but how they affect nematode communities and nematode‐based indices (NBIs) has remained underexplored.

High Pressure Liquid Chromatographic Determination of Aldicarb, Aldicarb Sulfoxide, and Aldicarb Sulfone in Potatoes

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1981
Abstract An ion-suppression reverse phase high pressure liquid chromatographic method is described for the determination of aldicarb, aldicarb sulfoxide, and aldicarb sulf one in potatoes. Samples are extracted with methylene chloride and Na2SO4, evaporated to dryness, and cleaned up using Sep-Pak silica and Sep-Pak-C18 cartridges.

Green Oil‐in‐Water Nanoemulsions for Delivery of Phytochemicals With Pesticidal Activity for Sustainable Food Production and Safety

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Green oil‐in‐water (O/W) nanoemulsions incorporating essential oils (EOs) and food‐derived compounds are gaining prominence as biopesticidal platforms that address the growing demand for sustainable agriculture, food safety, and reduced chemical inputs.

Sublethal doses of SYN876 suppress aldicarb effects.

open access: yes, 2012
Wild-type C. elegans was exposed to the indicated compound concentrations. Worms exposed to 1 mM aldicarb are hypercontracted and exhibit little movement (lower left panel).

Direct Ambient Mass Spectrometry for Food, Beverage, and Agricultural Sample Analysis and Research

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 429-452, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Ambient and direct mass spectrometry (MS) methods are becoming increasingly used for the rapid analysis of food, beverage and agricultural samples. Novel ionization approaches combined with targeted, or untargeted workflows provide analytical outcomes within a greatly reduced time period compared to traditional separation science coupled with ...
