Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView. In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.Julia S. Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Overdoping high temperature superconductors, such as YBa2Cu3O7‐δ (YBCO), is expected to maxime the critical current density by optimising the condensation energy for a given defect landscape, providing new thrust for the development of fusion enabling coated conductors. Here, precise oxygen control is achieved via an electrochemical method allowing for Alexander Stangl, Aiswarya Kethamkuzhi, Hervé Roussel, Cornelia Pop, Xavier Obradors, Teresa Puig, Mónica Burriel, Arnaud Badel +7 morewiley +1 more sourceA Universal Interfacial Dipole Strategy for Defect Suppression in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells With Tunable Bandgaps
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.A 2D heterointerface with a two‐site anchor bridge suppresses nonradiative recombination at the perovskite/C₆₀ interface by reducing surface defects, elevating the Fermi level, and strengthening the electric field. This strategy enables efficient electron extraction, delivering 26.32% efficiency, 1.217 V Voc, excellent operational stability, and broad ...Chaohui Li, Hyoungwon Park, Fabian Streller, Klaus Götz, Jiwon Byun, Shudi Qiu, Zhangyu Yuan, Jonas Englhard, Andrej Vincze, Zijian Peng, Lirong Dong, Yanxue Wang, Chao Liu, Jingjing Tian, Mingjie Feng, Peichun Liao, Fu Yang, Andreas Späth, Andres Osvet, Thomas Heumueller, Marcus Halik, Silke H. Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Conventional doping of P3HT with F4TCNQ results in poor charge transport. However, when F4TCNQ is exchanged with LiTFSI, the transport characteristics are greatly enhanced. We find the increase in charge transport is directly related to an increase in the mesoscale ordering of P3HT, resulting in longer and better‐connected transport pathways.Quynh M. Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.Amy Lukomiak, Rameesh Bulathsinghala, Jack Varga, Shuxin Meng, Kalana Marasinghe, Imaad Refai, Biyon Fernando, Amitkumar Patel, Chamika M. Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView. We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...Joshua M. Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.Adhesions’ high occurrence rates and high morbidity render them a critical challenge to be addressed. Current prevention methods, such as physical barriers, have many limitations, resulting in inconsistent safety and efficacy. This study demonstrates the potential for sprayable polymeric materials as an adhesion barrier.Robert J. Morris III, Tejaswi Nori, Alex I. Halpern, Hannah LaPadula, Arthur V. Cresce, Sarah L. Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.Parima Phowarasoontorn, Yongbin Ko, Juan S. Barajas‐Gamboa, Juan P.
