Dornase alfa (Pulmozyme)

Current Opinion in Pulmonary Medicine, 2012
Dornase alfa (Pulmozyme) is one of the most commonly used medications to treat the lung disease of cystic fibrosis (CF). As other respiratory medications have entered the clinical market, understanding the proper use and indication for dornase alfa is increasingly important.

Drotrecogin Alfa (Activated)

Drugs, 2002
Drotrecogin alfa (activated), recombinant human activated protein C, inhibits coagulation and inflammation and promotes fibrinolysis in patients with severe sepsis. 850 patients with severe sepsis treated with intravenous drotrecogin alfa (activated) 24 microg/kg/h for 96 hours had a significantly greater reduction in 28-day all-cause mortality (24.7%)

ALFA I and ALFA II ALLOYS

Alloy Digest, 1992
Abstract ALFA I and ALFA II ALLOYS are 13% chromium ferritic stainless steels with 3 and 4% aluminum, respectively. These steels have superior oxidation resistance. Being ferritic they are not hardenable by heat treatment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as

Novel boronic acid Mannich ractions of alfa,alfa-dichloro and alfa,alfa,omega-trichloroaldehydes with arylboronic acids

2007
A novel variation of the boronic acid Mannich reaction is described, in which alfa,alfa-dichloro and alfa,alfa,omega-trichloroaldehydes, morpholine, and arylboronic acids are used. During this one-pot reaction in refluxing toluene, 1-phenyl-1-morpholinoalkan-2-ones form in moderate yields.

Synthesis of enantiomerically pure alfa-ethyl, alfa-vinyl and alfa-ethynyl 3,3,3-trifluoro alaninates

2004
We describe the first synthesis of enantiomerically pure (S)-a-vinyl and (S)-a-ethynyl 3,3,3-trifluoro alanine (TF-Ala) ethyl esters, starting from the in situ generated sulfinimine (S)-2 as key fluorinated building-block. (S)-a-Ethyl TF-Ala-OEt has been prepared as well by this route.
