Improving police behavior through artificial intelligence: Pre‐registered experimental results in two large US agencies

open access: yesCriminology, Volume 64, Issue 2, Page 502-516, May 2026.
Abstract Police body‐worn cameras (BWCs) generate extensive video data on officer behavior, yet resource constraints mean that only a fraction of this footage is ever reviewed. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) present an opportunity to automate these reviews, potentially influencing police conduct.

Alginate Biosynthesis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa: Comparison of Coating and Film Formation Properties of Bacterial Alginate With Brown Algae Alginate in Beef Thigh Meat Shelf Life

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Current study results indicated that Pseudomonas aeruginosa alginate and brown algae alginate exhibited significant differences (p ≤ 0.05) in the morphology and physicochemical characteristics. The mechanical features of brown algae alginate films were significantly (p ≤ 0.05) more superior to Pseudomonas aeruginosa alginate films.

Lung Biopsy Tract Sealant and Fiducial Marker Based on a Hydrogel/Shape Memory Polymer Foam Composite With Multimodal Contrast

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, Volume 114, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Lung tissue biopsies can result in a collapsed lung in the patient via leakage of air (pneumothorax) from an open biopsy tract. To reduce the risk of pneumothorax, clinicians will implant a sealant to prevent leakage of air from the tract.

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 7, 9 February 2026.

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 52, December 22, 2025.
