Multi-order fractional nonlinear evolution equations system

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of a solution to a multi-order fractional nonlinear evolution equations system are studied by applying Banach’s Fixed Point Theorem and some properties of solution operators associated with the system.

The Herfindahl neutral point: A firm‐level threshold for managing market concentration with evidence from US hog packing

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.

Structured Subjective Readiness in Situational Leadership: Validating the 4D Model as an Associative Predictor

open access: yesAdministrative Sciences
The accurate assessment of follower readiness remains a challenge within Situational Leadership Theory (SLT), which traditionally emphasizes competence and commitment while overlooking motivational and relational cues.

Toward a Behavioral Reserve Model in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Behavioral impairment is common in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and strongly affects autonomy, caregiver burden, and outcomes, yet predictors of vulnerability remain unclear. We investigated whether premorbid regulatory traits and socio‐educational exposures are associated with behavioral phenotypes in ALS within a behavioral reserve ...

An Evidence-Based Architecture for Trustworthy Asset Discovery in Cybersecurity-Critical IT Environments

open access: yesJournal of Cybersecurity and Privacy
Asset discovery is a fundamental but inherently flawed capability in cybersecurity, as current methodologies frequently confuse preliminary discovery observations with definitive asset inventories, thereby obscuring uncertainty, restricting auditability,

Research on Heat Transfer Enhancement of Spiral Grooved Tube Heat Exchangers Based on CFD and Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Driven by the energy crisis and carbon neutrality goals, high‐efficiency heat exchange equipment has become a core demand in the industrial sector. The spiral grooved double‐pipe heat exchanger exhibits significant heat transfer enhancement advantages, yet it requires balancing heat transfer efficiency and pressure loss.

A Governance-Aware Private Cloud Architecture for Scalable Multi-Provider Vehicle-Based Multimodal Sensing

open access: yesSensors
Vehicle-mounted sensing enables high-resolution urban monitoring but remains constrained by heterogeneous multimodal integration, intermittent connectivity, privacy-sensitive visual data, and the absence of enforceable multi-provider governance.

Bioconvective Unsteady Casson Hybrid Nanofluid Flow on a Variable Darcy Regime Between Two Rotating Disks With Variable Heat Source

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study carries significant consequences in various engineering applications, such as cooling rotating disk surfaces, improving chemical reactor performance, and designing filtration systems. Considering these main applications in view, the aim of this study is to investigate time‐dependent Casson hybrid nanofluid flow on a permeable ...

Performance improvement of discrete‐time linear‐quadratic regulators applied to uncertain linear systems using the Tikhonov regularization method

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract The linear‐quadratic regulator (LQR) problem of optimal control of an uncertain discrete‐time linear system (DTLS) is revisited in this paper from the perspective of Tikhonov regularization. We show that an optimally chosen regularization parameter reduces, compared to the classical LQR, the values of a scalar error function, as well as the ...
