Supertori are algebraic curves [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1988
Super Riemann surfaces of genus 1, with arbitrary spin structures, are shown to be the sets of zeroes of certain polynomial equations in projective superspace. We conjecture that the same is true for arbitrary genus. Properties of superelliptic functions and super theta functions are discussed.

EISENSTEIN–KRONECKER SERIES VIA THE POINCARÉ BUNDLE

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2019
A classical construction of Katz gives a purely algebraic construction of Eisenstein–Kronecker series using the Gauß–Manin connection on the universal elliptic curve. This approach gives a systematic way to study algebraic and $p$-adic properties of real-

The Trefoil Soliton

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The Kiepert trefoil is an algebraic curve with remarkable geometric and number theoretic properties. Ludwig Kiepert, generalizing ideas due to Serret and Liouville, determined that it could be parametrized by arc length in terms of elliptic functions. In

Differential Signatures of Algebraic Curves [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Algebra and Geometry, 2020
In this paper, we adapt the differential signature construction to the equivalence problem for complex plane algebraic curves under the actions of the projective group and its subgroups. Given an action of a group $G$, a signature map assigns to a plane algebraic curve another plane algebraic curve (a signature curve) in such a way that two generic ...

Dopant‐free passivating contacts for crystalline silicon solar cells: Progress and prospects

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2023., 2023
This article provides an overview of the mechanism and materials of dopant‐free passivating contacts for crystalline silicon solar cells, and focuses on the recent advances in contact configuration and interface engineering for efficiency and stability enhancement.

Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves using machine learning and dynamic mode decomposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

On the behaviour of derivative of algebraic polynomials in the regions with cusps

open access: yesApplied Mathematics in Science and Engineering, 2022
In this paper, we study the behavior of derivatives of algebraic polynomials in bounded and unbounded regions of the complex plane. At the same time, both interior and exterior cusp points are allowed on the boundary of such regions. Bernstein-Walsh-type

Homotopy theory of curved operads and curved algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Curved algebras are algebras endowed with a predifferential, which is an endomorphism of degree -1 whose square is not necessarily 0. This makes the usual definition of quasi-isomorphism meaningless and therefore the homotopical study of curved algebras cannot follow the same path as differential graded algebras.

Soft‐Layered Composites with Wrinkling‐Activated Multi‐Linear Elastic Behavior, Stress Mitigation, and Enhanced Strain Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, exciting new bi‐/multi‐linear elastic behavior of soft elastic composites that accompany the activation of wrinkling in the embedded interfacial layers is analyzed. The new features and performance of these composite materials, including dramatic enhancements in energy storage, can be tailored by the concentration of interfacial layers ...

Algebraic ship hull surfaces with a main frame from three plane curves in coordinate planes

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Engineering Research, 2022
One of the important problems of naval architects and designers is a choice of rational ship hull shape. A choice of ship hull form is based often on empirical formulae or on designers’ intuition.
