Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Stability criteria for delay differential-algebraic equations

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2014
The asymptotic stability of delay differential-algebraic equations are researched in this paper. Two stability criteria described by evaluating a corresponding harmonic function on the boundary of a torus region are presented.

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...

Functional Approach for Solving Reduced Order of Index-Four Hessenberg Differential-Algebraic Control System

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
This research investigates differential-algebraic equations with higher index (index four). Specifically, a functional analytic approach is proposed to find the solution of (index four) Hessenberg differential-algebraic equations (DAEs).
