Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Differential algebraic equations, indices, and integral algebraic equations

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 1989
In a recent report, Hairer, Lubich, and Roche [Report CH-1211, Dept. de Mathematiques, Universite de Geneve, Geneve, Switzerland, 1988] define the index of differential algebraic equations (DAEs) by considering the effect of perturbations of the equations on the solutions. This index, which will be called the perturbation index $p_i $, is one more than

Triple Products and Yang-Baxter Equation (I): Octonionic and Quaternionic Triple Systems

open access: yes, 1992
We can recast the Yang-Baxter equation as a triple product equation. Assuming the triple product to satisfy some algebraic relations, we can find new solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Problem for differential-algebraic equations with a significant loads

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
In this article, the problem for a differential-algebraic equation with a significant loads is studied. Unlike previously studied problems for differential equations with a significant loads, in the considered equation, there is a matrix in the left ...

A reduction technique for Generalised Riccati Difference Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper proposes a reduction technique for the generalised Riccati difference equation arising in optimal control and optimal filtering. This technique relies on a study on the generalised discrete algebraic Riccati equation.

Unprecedented Spin‐Lifetime of Itinerant Electrons in Natural Graphite Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graphite exhibits extraordinary spintronic potential, with electron spin lifetimes reaching 1,000 ns at room temperature ‐ over 100 times longer than graphene‐based devices. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy reveals strong anisotropy: out‐of‐plane spins live 50 times longer than their in‐plane counterparts.

On algebraic integrals of a differential equation

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science, 2019
We consider the problem of integrating a given differential equation in algebraic functions, which arose together with the integral calculus, but still is not completely resolved in finite form.

An application of the Maslov complex germ method to the 1D nonlocal Fisher-KPP equation

open access: yes, 2018
A semiclassical approximation approach based on the Maslov complex germ method is considered in detail for the 1D nonlocal Fisher-Kolmogorov-Petrovskii-Piskunov equation under the supposition of weak diffusion.

Images for a binary gravitational lens from a single real algebraic equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
It is shown that the lens equation for a binary gravitational lens being a set of two coupled real fifth-order algebraic equations (equivalent to a single complex equation of the same order) can be reduced to a single real fifth-order algebraic equation,
