Some algebraically independent continued fractions [PDF]
Using simple arguments, we prove algebraic independence of a class of continued fractions extending an earlier result of Bundschuh. We then apply it to give another proof of algebraic independence of numbers whose g g -adic and continued fraction expansions are explicitly known.

A joint limit theorem for periodic Hurwitz zeta-functions with algebraic irrational parameters
In the paper, a joint limit theorem for weakly convergent probability measures in ℂ r for periodic Hurwitz zeta-functions with algebraic irrational parameters satisfying certain independence conditions is obtained.

Generic planar algebraic vector fields are disintegrated
In this article, we study model-theoretic properties of algebraic differential equations of order $2$, defined over constant differential fields. In particular, we show that the set of solutions of a general differential equation of order $2$ and of ...

A Green’s basis for the bosonic SMEFT to dimension 8
We present a basis of dimension-eight Green’s functions involving Standard Model (SM) bosonic fields, consisting of 86 new operators. Rather than using algebraic identities and integration by parts, we prove the independence of these interactions in ...

INDEPENDENT SETS FROM AN ALGEBRAIC PERSPECTIVE [PDF]
In this paper, we study the basic problem of counting independent sets in a graph and, in particular, the problem of counting antichains in a finite poset, from an algebraic perspective. We show that neither independence polynomials of bipartite Cohen–Macaulay graphs nor Hilbert series of initial ideals of radical zero-dimensional complete ...

On MV-Algebraic Versions of the Strong Law of Large Numbers
Many-valued (MV; the many-valued logics considered by Łukasiewicz)-algebras are algebraic systems that generalize Boolean algebras. The MV-algebraic probability theory involves the notions of the state and observable, which abstract the probability ...

Algebraic independence of polynomials [PDF]
Let k be an algebraically closed field, K a field over k and f, g polynomials over K. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for f, g to be algebraically dependent over k.

Base independent algebraic cobordism [PDF]
The purpose of this article is to show that the bivariant algebraic $A$-cobordism groups considered previously by the author are independent of the chosen base ring $A$. This result is proven by analyzing the bivariant ideal generated by the so called snc relations, and, while the alternative characterization we obtain for this ideal is interesting by ...
