Algebraic Methods in Spectroscopy
Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 1995At present, two main types of algebraic methods are employed for analysis of molecular spectra. The first goes back to the early days of molecular spectroscopy. The second, developed recently by Iachello and coworkers, grew out of nuclear physics and makes use of classical Lie algebras such as SU(4).

Algebraic Methods in Evolutionary Genetics
Biometrical Journal, 1978AbstractThis paper is a survey of some results obtained in evolutionary genetics by algebraical methods. The main topics: 1. Some special classes of algebras which arising in population genetics (stochastic, baric, BERNSTEINian, genetic etc.). 2. The BERNSTEIN'S problem and the stationary genetic structure. 3.

Algebraic propagator methods, as opposed to methods based on diagrammatic perturbation theory, have been derived within the so-called superoperator formulation [1, 2, 3], in which the respective propagator is written and evaluated in the form of a superoperator resolvent [4].
