Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

Heap-ternary algebraic structure
In this paper some classes of ternary algebraic structures (semi-heaps, heaps) are considered. The connection between heaps (laterally commutative heaps) and corresponding algebraic and geometric structures is presented. The equivalence of heap existence and the Desargues system on the same set is directly proved.

Young people's occupational aspirations beyond the aspiration discourse: A sociocultural perspective
Abstract Young people's aspirations have been the focus of many educational, sociological and psychological studies. This paper argues, firstly, that the concept of aspirations holds greater generative potential than suggested by the policy‐oriented ‘aspiration discourse’.

A Guide to Bayesian Optimization in Bioprocess Engineering
ABSTRACT Bayesian optimization has become widely popular across various experimental sciences due to its favorable attributes: it can handle noisy data, perform well with relatively small data sets, and provide adaptive suggestions for sequential experimentation.

Abstract In the classroom, metabolism is often approached and received as a mundane exercise in memorization. Teaching metabolism also faces the challenge of negative perceptions that can impede learning. We sought to improve the learning experience in an undergraduate lecture course on microbial metabolism by implementing an illustrated story that ...

Distinct features and validation of δ ⋇-algebras: an analytical exploration
Introduction/purpose: This research introduces the concept of a δ ⋇- algebra, a unique structure in the field of abstract algebra. The study aims to explore the defining features and distinct properties of δ ⋇- algebras, distinguishing them from ...

Uniform Gas Flow Distribution into Several Partial Flows under Consideration of Closable Outlets
The uniform distribution of a gas flow into several partial flows poses a challenge in various technical fields. This study presents a static flow distributor design that ensures an equal distribution of an inlet gas flow regardless of the flow rate and the number of open outlets.

Abstract We develop a delay‐aware estimation and control framework for a non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor modelled as a coupled parabolic‐hyperbolic PDE system with recycle‐induced state delay. The infinite‐dimensional dynamics are preserved without spatial discretization by representing the delay as a transport PDE and adopting a late ...

FUZZY RINGS AND ITS PROPERTIES
One of algebraic structure that involves a binary operation is a group that is defined an un empty set (classical) with an associative binary operation, it has identity elements and each element has an inverse. In the structure of the group known as the
