ABSTRACT The representation of material failure due to wave propagation is essential for the numerical analysis of engineering structures under high dynamic loading. Explicit time integration schemes are well established for this kind of application.

Irradiated Coherent States in Magnetoresistance of 2D Electron Systems
A theoretical approach on the microwave‐induced resistance oscillations based on the coherent states of the quantum harmonic oscillator is reported. The coherent state expression for the quantum oscillator under a time‐dependent force is calculated. It is found that the principle of minimum uncertainty of coherent states, involving time and energy, is ...

Building and testing necessity theories in supply chain management
Abstract This article contributes to the Emerging Discourse Incubator initiative by presenting how supply chain management scholars can contribute to theory development by means of necessity theories. These are unique theories that inform what level of a concept must be present to achieve a desired level of the outcome.

Data assimilation errors due to incomplete accounting of balanced versus unbalanced moisture
We investigate data assimilation strategies with moisture and assess the impact of accounting for moisture's balanced and unbalanced components. To illustrate the main ideas, examples are presented using a simple model consisting of linear, moist, shallow‐water equations with stochastic forcing.

A Short Note On M-Symmetric Hyperelliptic Riemann Surfaces
We provide an argument, based on Schottky groups, of a result due to B. Maskit which states a necessary and sufficient condition for the double oriented cover of a planar compact Klein surface of algebraic genus at least two to be a hyperelliptic Riemann
