Mumford–Thaddeus Principle on the Moduli Space of Vector Bundles on an Algebraic Surface [PDF]
We study the behavior of the Gieseker space of semistable torsion-free sheaves of rank r and fixed c_1, c_2 on a non-singular projective surface as the polarization varies.

A novel analytical method is proposed to evaluate the shear stress effect on the progressive compressive failure and microcrack growth direction in brittle rocks. The shear stress effect on the wing crack growth direction during the progressive compressive failure is determined. The initial crack angle effect on the y‐direction peak stress and the wing

Involution surface bundles over surfaces [PDF]
We construct models of involution surface bundles over algebraic surfaces, degenerating over normal crossing divisors, and with controlled singularities of the total space.

A Graphical Method for Great Circle Routes
A great circle route (GCR) is the shortest route on a spherical earth model. Do we have a visual diagram to handle the shortest route? In this paper, a graphical method (GM) is proposed to solve the GCR problems based on the celestial meridian diagram ...

The simple method of distinguishing the underlying differentiable structures of algebraic surfaces [PDF]
The simplest version of the Spin-polynomial invariants of the underlying differentiable structures of algebraic surfaces were considered and the simplest arguments were used in order to distinguish the underlying smooth structures of certain algebraic surfaces.

Electrophoresis of polyelectrolyte‐adsorbed soft particle with hydrophobic inner core
Abstract This article deals with the electrophoresis of hydrophobic colloids absorbed by a layer of polymers with an exponential distribution of the polymer segments. The functional groups present in the polymer layer further follow the exponential distribution.

Algebras from surfaces without punctures [PDF]
We introduce a new class of finite dimensional gentle algebras, the surface algebras, which are constructed from an unpunctured Riemann surface with boundary and marked points by introducing cuts in internal triangles of an arbitrary triangulation of the surface. We show that surface algebras are endomorphism algebras of partial cluster-tilting objects

Estimating Nielsen Numbers on Wedge Product Spaces
Let f:X→X be a self-map of a finite polyhedron that is an aspherical wedge product space X. In this paper, we estimate the Nielsen number N(f) of f.

ABSTRACT The first patent to describe dielectrophoresis (DEP) as a means and process to separate particles from a mixture was granted by the US Patent Office to Henry Stafford Hatfield in 1924. The novel methods of sample preparation and designs of electrode geometry covered by the patent's disclosures and claims describe the basis for most present‐day

A generic kinetic model capable of reproducing the iron ore pellet reduction process for a wide range of experimental operating conditions is demonstrated. Experimental backed analysis of the carburization process enlightens the complex reduction process.
