Picard groups of the moduli spaces of vector bundles over algebraic surfaces [PDF]
We determined the Picard group of the moduli of rank two stable sheaves on an arbitrary algebraic surface up to finite ...

eCherry: A Modelica Library for Modular Dynamic Modelling of Electrochemical Reactors
ABSTRACT Electrochemical reactors offer promising pathways for defossilizing the chemical industry. To understand the operation as well as to evaluate and optimise their performance and efficiency, modelling presents a crucial tool. Currently, no comprehensive open‐source library for dynamic modelling of electrochemical reactors exists, and instead ...

Parametrization of translational surfaces [PDF]
The algebraic translational surface is a typical modeling surface in computer aided design and architecture industry. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for that algebraic surface having a standard parametric representation and our proof is constructive.

The performance of algebraic flame surface density (FSD) models has been assessed for flames with nonunity Lewis number (Le) in the thin reaction zones regime, using a direct numerical simulation (DNS) database of freely propagating turbulent premixed ...

An Enhanced Tire Model for Dynamic Simulation based on Geometrically Exact Shells
In the present work, a tire model is derived based on geometrically exact shells. The discretization is done with the help of isoparametric quadrilateral finite elements.

Triangular decomposition of $SL_3$ skein algebras [PDF]
We give an $SL_3$ analogue of the triangular decomposition of the Kauffman bracket stated skein algebras described by Le. To any punctured bordered surface, we associate an $SL_3$ stated skein algebra which contains the $SL_3$ skein algebra of closed webs.

A Subbuteo‐Inspired Rolling Isolation System for Protecting Rigid Blocks
ABSTRACT This study investigates a Subbuteo‐inspired rolling isolation system (RIS) as an effective means for protecting rigid blocks. The block is assumed to be rigidly connected to a curved base sector, allowing it to roll back and forth freely under dynamic excitations. The intrinsic trait of the proposed isolation concept is that the rigid block is

Hochschild cohomology of Jacobian algebras from unpunctured surfaces: A geometric computation [PDF]
There are several examples in which algebraic properties of Jacobian algebras from (unpunctured) Riemann surfaces can be computed from the geometry of the Riemann surface. In this work, we compute the dimension of the Hochschild cohomology groups of any Jacobian algebra from unpunctured Riemann surfaces.

Algebraic expressions for convective solute transport in a homogeneous soil below a surface barrier
Engineered surface barriers are expected to be used to cover sites containing buried waste radionuclides after site closure. Understanding the transport of contaminants in the soil below a surface barrier is of importance in order to protect the ...
