An algebraic theory for design of controllers for linear multivariable systems--Part I: Structure matrices and feedforward design

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1981
In this two part paper a theory is presented in which several control problems can be solved. The theory is applicable to a general class of linear multivariable systems where the measured output does not have to be equal to the controlled output or the state. The system may be affected by nonmeasurable disturbances.

An Algebraic Approach to n-Plithogenic Square Matrices For 𝟏𝟖 ≤ 𝒏 ≤ 𝟏𝟗

Journal of Neutrosophic and Fuzzy Systems, 2023
This paper is dedicated to study the algebraic properties and substructures that are related to the symbolic 18 and 19 plithogenic square matrices, where we present many different theorems and examples to clarify the computation of symbolic 18 and 19 ...

A symplectic indirect approach for a class of nonlinear optimal control problems of differential‐algebraic systems

International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2021
Differential‐algebraic equations (DAEs) can model constrained dynamical systems and processes from practical engineering. Therefore, research on nonlinear optimal control problems of DAEs is of theoretical significance for optimal control of constrained ...

Semi-Tensor Product of Matrices Approach to the Problem of Fault Detection for Discrete Event Systems (DESs)

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2020
This brief focuses on presenting a state-based matrix approach to the problem of fault detection for discrete event systems (DESs). Firstly, the given system is modeled as a finite state machine and converted into algebraic structure with the help of ...

The Algebra of Matrices in N-dimensional Systems

IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information, 1989
Summary: The N-dimensional Roesser matrix is defined and shown to be essential to the formal solution of the N-dimensional Roesser equations. An extended Cayley-Hamilton theorem and a Leverrier-Fadeev type algorithm are derived for N-dimensional systems.
