OBSTRUCTIONS TO ALGEBRAIZING TOPOLOGICAL VECTOR BUNDLES
Suppose $X$ is a smooth complex algebraic variety. A necessary condition for a complex topological vector bundle on $X$ (viewed as a complex manifold) to be algebraic is that all Chern classes must be algebraic cohomology classes, that is, lie in the ...

Abstract Large swarms often adopt a hierarchical network structure that incorporates information aggregation. Although this approach offers significant advantages in terms of communication efficiency and computational complexity, it can also lead to degradation due to information constraints.

Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

On solving norm equations in global function fields
The potential of solving norm equations is crucial for a variety of applications of algebraic number theory, especially in cryptography. In this article we develop general effective methods for that task in global function fields for the first time.

ABSTRACT Food waste is a sustainability concern in the food industry, which can be mitigated through a circular economy. Circularity can be limited by contextual constraints, such as the characteristics of the waste to be recovered. However, their study in the context of food waste is scarce.

Groupes de Brauer algébriques modulo les constantes d’espaces homogènes et leurs compactifications
Let $X$ be a smooth, geometrically integral variety without non-constant invertible functions over a field $K$. Then the quotient of the “algebraic” Brauer group of $X$ by $\mathrm{Br}\,K$ injects into $\mathrm{H}^1(K,\mathrm{Pic}{\overline{X}})$.

This work demonstrates the application of neural ordinary differential equations (neural ODEs) for learning hydrocracking reaction kinetics directly from data, achieving robust predictions under noise and sparsity while preserving mechanistic interpretability through gradient‐based analysis of temperature‐ and concentration‐dependent reaction rates ...

Algebraic part of motivic cohomology with compact supports
We define an algebraic part for a motivic cohomology group with compact supports of a smooth scheme over an algebraically closed field. This generalizes the classical notion of the algebraic part of a Chow group of a smooth proper variety. We then define

Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

Hodge theory of abelian covers of algebraic varieties
Motivated by classical Alexander invariants of affine hypersurface complements, we endow certain finite dimensional quotients of the homology of abelian covers of complex algebraic varieties with a canonical and functorial mixed Hodge structure (MHS ...
