Generalized moonshine II: Borcherds products
The goal of this paper is to construct infinite dimensional Lie algebras using infinite product identities, and to use these Lie algebras to reduce the generalized moonshine conjecture to a pair of hypotheses about group actions on vertex algebras and ...

Algebraic Specialization of Generic Functions for Recursive Types
AbstractDefining functions over large, possibly recursive, data structures usually involves a lot of boilerplate. This code simply traverses non-interesting parts of the data, and rapidly becomes a maintainability problem. Many generic programming libraries have been proposed to address this issue.

Asymptotic properties of cross‐classified sampling designs
Abstract We investigate the family of cross‐classified sampling designs across an arbitrary number of dimensions. We introduce a variance decomposition that enables the derivation of general asymptotic properties for these designs and the development of straightforward and asymptotically unbiased variance estimators.

We give a factorization procedure for a strictly hyperbolic partial differential operator of second order with logarithmic slow scale coefficients. From this we can microlocally diagonalize the full wave operator which results in a coupled system of ...

Multipliers of Modules of Continuous Vector-Valued Functions
In 1961, Wang showed that if A is the commutative C*-algebra C0(X) with X a locally compact Hausdorff space, then M(C0(X))≅Cb(X). Later, this type of characterization of multipliers of spaces of continuous scalar-valued functions has also been ...

Meromorphic Lax representations of (1+1)-dimensional multi-Hamiltonian dispersionless systems
Rational Lax hierarchies introduced by Krichever are generalized. A systematic construction of infinite multi-Hamiltonian hierarchies and related conserved quantities is presented. The method is based on the classical R-matrix approach applied to Poisson

A Markov approach to credit rating migration conditional on economic states
Abstract We develop a model for credit rating migration that accounts for the impact of economic state fluctuations on default probabilities. The joint process for the economic state and the rating is modelled as a time‐homogeneous Markov chain. While the rating process itself possesses the Markov property only under restrictive conditions, methods ...

Abstract This study explored how lecturers in a post‐92 UK university conceptualise and enact decolonial curriculum principles within their teaching and programme design. Drawing on semi‐structured interviews with academic staff across multiple disciplines, the research adopts a qualitative, phenomenologically informed approach to examine the interplay

Resonance‐induced restoration of rock permeability degraded by heavy components of crude oil
Resonance‐induced changes occur in filtration properties of sedimentary rocks in crude paraffin oil flow under acoustic vibrations. Experimental data on (a) pressure drop; (b) permeability; (c) pressure at the rock inlet; and (d) pressure at the rock outlet are presented.

On flux integrals for generalized Melvin solution related to simple finite-dimensional Lie algebra
A generalized Melvin solution for an arbitrary simple finite-dimensional Lie algebra $$\mathcal G$$ G is considered. The solution contains a metric, n Abelian 2-forms and n scalar fields, where n is the rank of $$\mathcal G$$ G .
