Monodromies of generic real algebraic functions
Consider real holomorphic functions \(f:{\mathcal C}\to\mathbb{P}^1\) (where \({\mathcal C}\) is a compact connected Riemann surface of genus \(g)\) such that \(f\) has at most one non-generic critical value. The monodromies of such functions can be described in terms of labeled graphs.

Abstract Serre famously showed that almost all plane conics over Q$\mathbb {Q}$ have no rational point. We investigate versions of this over global function fields, focusing on a specific family of conics over F2(t)$\mathbb {F}_2(t)$ which illustrates new behavior.

Generalized Function Algebras Containing Spaces of Periodic Ultradistributions [PDF]
We construct differential algebras in which spaces of (one-dimensional) periodic ultradistributions are embedded. By proving a Schwartz impossibility type result, we show that our embeddings are optimal in the sense of being consistent with the pointwise multiplication of ordinary functions.
