Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The Triple Ethical Tensions of Intelligent Healthcare

open access: yesYixue yu zhexue
While artificial intelligence (AI) significantly enhances medical efficiency, it also raises a series of ethical concerns, including blurred clinical responsibility, imbalanced data governance, and algorithmic bias.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Efficient algorithms for inverting evolution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-eighth annual ACM symposium on Theory of computing - STOC '96, 1996
Evolution can be mathematically modelled by a stochastic process that operates on the DNA of species. Such models are based on the established theory that the DNA sequences, or genomes, of all extant species have been derived from the genome of the common ancestor of all species by a process of random mutation and natural selection.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

An Efficient Parallel Biconnectivity Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Computing, 1985
In this paper we propose a new algorithm for finding the blocks (biconnected components) of an undirected graph. A serial implementation runs in \(O(n+m)\) time and space on a graph of n vertices and m edges. A parallel implementation runs in O(log n) time and \(O(n+m)\) space using \(O(n+m)\) processors on a concurrent-read, concurrent-write parallel ...
