Algorithms for Optimal Price Regulations
2008Since summer 2007, mobile phone users in the European Union (EU) are protected by a ceiling on the roaming tariff when calling or receiving a call abroad. We analyze the effects of this price regulative policy, and compare it to alternative implementations of price regulations.

Minimum price inter-domain routing algorithm
IEEE Communications Letters, 2002We show a minimum price (MP) inter-domain routing algorithm that selects the cheapest paths among a number of independent domains, used for supplying end users with application services. The price of the network service is determined by the so-called service parameters and network parameters. The former represents the negotiable quality of service (QoS)

Algorithmic Price Discrimination
Abstract Chapter 1 analyzes the positive and normative implications of price discrimination, enabled by AI-powered algorithms. Price discrimination is largely beneficial in S markets but quite harmful in U markets. In S markets, price discrimination increases the total surplus.Oren Bar-Gill, Cass R. Sunstein

Algorithmic Trading Stock Price Model
International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2022Abstract: Stock market price prediction is a difficult undertaking that generally requires a lot of human-computer interaction. Traditional batch processing methods cannot be used effectively for stock market analysis due to the linked nature of stock prices.

Pricing Algorithms as Collusive Devices
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2020This paper undertakes a critical review of the prospect that self-learning pricing algorithms will lead to widespread collusion independently of the intervention and participation of humans. There is no concrete evidence, no example yet, and no antitrust case that self-learning pricing algorithms have colluded let alone increased the prospect of ...

Algorithmic Price Discrimination: Extensions
Abstract The main lesson of the analysis in Chapter 1 is that algorithmic price discrimination is more likely to be harmful in U markets and more likely to be beneficial in S markets. Chapter 2 presents several extensions of the baseline, Chapter 1 model to explore the robustness of this main result and its limitations.Oren Bar-Gill, Cass R. Sunstein
