Heavy Wilson quarks and O(a) improvement: nonperturbative results for b g

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
With Wilson quarks, on-shell O(a) improvement of the lattice QCD action is achieved by including the Sheikholeslami-Wohlert term and two further operators of mass dimension 5, which amount to a mass-dependent rescaling of the bare parameters.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Passive remote sensing of columnar water vapour content above land surfaces. Part I: Theoretical algorithm development - Part II: Comparison of OVID measurements with radiosonde and DIAL measurements

open access: yes, 1997
Various efforts are currently being made to develop remote sensing techniques for high accuracy determination of atmospheric columnar water vapour content above land surfaces. Most of those algorithms are based on radiative transfer calcu lations, however, which have to be verified by spectral airborne or satellite measurements. Initial verification of

Gauging a superposition of fermionic Gaussian projected entangled pair states to get lattice gauge theory eigenstates

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Gauged fermionic projected entangled pair states (GFPEPS) and their Gaussian counterpart (GGFPEPS) are a novel type of lattice gauge theory Ansatz state that combine ideas from the Monte Carlo and tensor network communities. In particular, computation of

Melt Grafting of Geometry‐Tailored Voltage Stabilizers for High‐Performance Polypropylene Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable one‐step melt grafting strategy is developed to enhance the dielectric properties of isotactic polypropylene by covalently incorporating thermally stable aromatic voltage stabilizers. This solvent‐free approach improves volume resistivity and DC breakdown strength through deep trap formation and charge localization, offering a sustainable ...
