This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Lattice gradient flows (de-)stabilizing topological sectors
We investigate the stability of topological charge under gradient flow taking the admissibility condition into account. For the SU(2) Wilson gauge theory with β = 2.45 and L 4 = 124, we numerically show that the gradient flows with the Iwasaki and DBW2 ...

Animating the development of Social Networks over time using a dynamic extension of multidimensional scaling [PDF]
The animation of network visualizations poses technical and theoretical challenges. Rather stable patterns are required before the mental map enables a user to make inferences over time.

In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

Exploiting stochastic locality in lattice QCD: hadronic observables and their uncertainties
Because of the mass gap, lattice QCD simulations exhibit stochastic locality: distant regions of the lattice fluctuate independently. There is a long history of exploiting this to increase statistics by obtaining multiple spatially-separated samples from

Statistical and Computational Tradeoff in Genetic Algorithm-Based Estimation
When a Genetic Algorithm (GA), or a stochastic algorithm in general, is employed in a statistical problem, the obtained result is affected by both variability due to sampling, that refers to the fact that only a sample is observed, and variability due to

This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

Flow-based architectures have recently proved to be an efficient tool for numerical simulations of Effective String Theories regularized on the lattice that otherwise cannot be efficiently sampled by standard Monte Carlo methods.

Entanglement entropy from non-equilibrium Monte Carlo simulations
We study the entanglement entropy in lattice field theory using a simulation algorithm based on Jarzynski’s theorem. We focus on the entropic c-function for the Ising model in two and in three dimensions: after validating our algorithm against known ...
