MicrobeDiscover: A Knowledge Graph–Enabled AI Framework for Identifying Microbes for Inorganic Nanomaterial Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.

Binder Chemistry – High-Calcium Alkali-Activated Materials

open access: yes, 2013
As mentioned in Chap. 2, the development and assessment of alkali-activated binders based on calcium-rich precursors such as blast furnace slag (BFS) and other Ca-rich industrial by-products have been conducted for over a century [1–3]. However, an increase in interest in the understanding of the microstructure of alkali-activated binders has taken ...

Lattice‐Interface Dual Engineering Unlocking Quasi‐Zero‐Strain and High‐Rate Zinc‐Ion Storage in Polyanionic Cathode

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Li‐doped Na3V2O2(PO4)2F nanoparticles coated with N‐doped carbon are designed to improve their electronic conductivity. The co‐modification of Li doping and carbon coating improves structural integrity, increases electronic conductivity, lowers the Zn2+ migration barrier, and elevates the average Zn2+ diffusion coefficient, thereby leading to superior ...

Transition Metal Compounds for Aqueous Ammonium‐Ion Batteries: Storage Mechanisms and Electrode Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aqueous ammonium‐ion batteries leverage hydrogen‐bond‐mediated NH4+ storage in tunable transition metal compounds. Despite progress in Mn‐, V‐, Mo‐, and W‐based compounds, 2D LDHs, and MXenes, challenges like structural instability and slow kinetics persist. Future advances require robust host design, mechanistic understanding via operando studies, and
