On the mineralogy and geochemistry of niobium and tantalum in some granite pegmatites and alkali granites of Africa

Minerals of the gadolinite-(Y)-hingganite-(Y) series in the alkali granite pegmatites of the Kola Peninsula

Geology of Ore Deposits, 2014
Minerals of the gadolinite-(Y)-hingganite-(Y) series pertaining to the gadolinite-datolite group have been found in the alkali granite pegmatites of the Kola Peninsula. Gadolinite-(Y) is distinguished by its unique natural crystalline state. The unit-cell parameters of this mineral have elevated values as compared with those of gadolinite-(Y) from ...

Hydrated CO3-Bearing Analog of Manganoeudialyte from Alkali Pegmatites of the Konder Pluton, Khabarovsk Krai

Geology of Ore Deposits, 2018
The chemical composition, crystal structure, and infrared (IR) spectrum of a hydrated CO3-bearing analog of manganoeudialyte from alkali pegmatites of the Konder pluton (Khabarovsk krai) are studied. The chemical composition of the mineral corresponds to the formula N[Na6.94H2O5.13(Y,REE)0.58.

Trace element distributions between the perthite phases of alkali feldspars from pegmatites

Mineralogical Magazine, 1982
AbstractThe distribution of various trace elements between the K-feldspar and albite phases of perthites from several pegmatites was determined by ion microprobe. Ranges in distribution coefficients (wt. % in K-feldspar/wt. % in albite) are: Li, 1.2–780; Mg, 0.2–1.1; P, 0.1–17; Ca, 0.02–1.6; Cs, 32–820; Ba, 24–284; Pb, 1.6–30; Fe, 0.3–0.7; Rb, 59–5505;

Phosphorus in alkali feldspars as an indicator for prospecting for pegmatite-type rare-metal ore deposits in Altay, NW China

Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis, 2013
The phosphorus contents of alkali feldspars of 80 pegmatite veins from the Chinese Altay, NW China, were determined by electron microprobe in this study. The alkali feldspars of the barren pegmatites are poor in phosphorus and range from <0.01–0.05 wt% P 2 O 5 .

Postorogenic alkali feldspar granite and associated pegmatites in West Avalonia: the petrology of the Neoproterozoic Georgeville Pluton, Antigonish Highlands, Nova Scotia

Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, 1998
The 579.8 ± 2.2 Ma (40Ar-39Ar, muscovite) Georgeville Pluton in mainland Nova Scotia is an epizonal body consisting of alkali feldspar granite and related pegmatite. The pluton intrudes the ca. 619-608 Ma arc-related rocks of the Georgeville Group, which comprises part of West Avalonia, the largest terrane in the Canadian Appalachians.

Extreme alkali bicarbonate- and carbonate-rich fluid inclusions in granite pegmatite from the Precambrian Rønne granite, Bornholm Island, Denmark

Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, 2010
Our study of fluid and melt inclusions in quartz and feldspar from granite pegmatite from the Precambrian Ronne granite, Bornholm Island, Denmark revealed extremely alkali bicarbonate- and carbonate-rich inclusions. The solid phases (daughter crystals) are mainly nahcolite [NaHCO3], zabuyelite [Li2CO3], and in rare cases potash [K2CO3] in addition to ...

The evolution of alkali elements and the division of geochemical process for pegmatite Vein No. 3, Altai, Xinjiang, China

Geochemistry, 1982
According to the evolution of alkali elements (e.g. K, Na, Li) and the relationship among them in the melt-solution of pegmatitic magma, the author divides the pegmatitic process for Vein No. 3 into three main geochemical stages associated with mineralization, i.e., K-Na, Na-Li and K stages.

New investigations on Dunje pegmatite, Macedonia I: the contribution to the knowledge about alkali feldspars and its mineral paragenesis

Geologica Macedonica, 2016
Selečka Mountain was thoroughly investigated in the past mostly because of the interesting mineral paragenesis presented in granites, gneisses, amphibolites, different schists and pegmatite bodies. In the valley Smilevski Dol, around 3 km SW from the village of Dunje (Mariovo plateau), in the vicinity of small spring Šohlehov Kladenec hydrothermal ...
