Alkali metal reduction of alkali metal cations
AbstractCounter to synthetic convention and expectation provided by the relevant standard reduction potentials, the chloroberyllate, [{SiNDipp}BeClLi]2 [{SiNDipp} = {CH2SiMe2N(Dipp)}2; Dipp = 2,6-i-Pr2C6H3)], reacts with the group 1 elements (M = Na, K, Rb, Cs) to provide the respective heavier alkali metal analogues, [{SiNDipp}BeClM]2, through ...

Linear alkali correlation in oceanic alkali basalts [PDF]
A strong positive correlation was found between Na2O and K2O in basic alkali rocks from the Hawaiian Islands and Canary Islands. The correlated variance of the variables in each province is 79 % and 76 %, respectively. Six possible explanations were examined.

ALKALI AND EARTH ALKALI EQUILIBRIUM IN SPASMOPHILIA [PDF]
In 1913 I published an article 1 on some work done in regard to the relationship of salts in spasmophilia which was the result of experiments on dogs and of clinical observation. In that work I came to the following conclusions: In dogs in which a hyperirritability of the nervous system existed, as shown by the increased electrical irritability, and ...

THE ALKALI RESERVE IN PELLAGRA [PDF]
In the urinary findings of thirty-one cases of pellagra studied at the U. S. Pellagra Hospital, Spartanburg, S. C., in the spring and summer of 1917, fourteen patients showed high ammonia and low urea ratios. Of the fourteen high ammonia ratios, the ammonia was relatively increased in eight, while in the remaining six the urinary output of ammonia was ...

AbstractThe structure and properties of a group of gangliosides modified by mild alkaline treatment are discussed. We will present the occurrence and the structure of gangliosides carrying the N-acetyneuraminic acid O-acetylated in position 9, the Neu5,9Ac2, and of gangliosides carrying a sialic acid that forms a lactone ring. Starting from biochemical

The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.
