Bioactive glass-ceramic scaffolds from novel 'inorganic gel casting' and sinter-crystallization [PDF]
Highly porous wollastonite-diopside glass-ceramics have been successfully obtained by a new gel-casting technique. The gelation of an aqueous slurry of glass powders was not achieved according to the polymerization of an organic monomer, but as the ...

Cleaning of high lead-bearing zinc leaching residue by recovery of lead with alkaline leaching
Abstract In the hydrometallurgical zinc production processes, huge quantities of solid leaching residues containing different metallic compounds threat the environment are continuously generated around the world. Due to increasing demand of metals and the depletion of high grade natural resources, these types of wastes are gaining great importance in

Evaluation of streamwater composition changes in the Vosges Mountains (NE France): 1955–2005 [PDF]
n 1995, in the southwestern Vosges Mountains (NE France), 158 of 395 streams (40%) had a pH lower than 5.5 at baseflow. As elsewhere in Europe, acid deposition has decreased since the seventies, as has base cation deposition.
