Histochemical studies on enzyme activities of gastric carcinoma. I. Hydrolytic enzymes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
The activities of five hydrolytic enzymes, alkaline and acid phosphataSe, beta-esterase, leucine aminopeptidase and beta-glucuronidase, of human gastric carcinomas from 180 patients were investigated histochemically.

Comparative histochemical study of four enzyme activities on some organs of male Schistosoma mansoni and S. haematobium

open access: yesJournal of Basic and Applied Zoology, 2018
Background Enzymes are the biological catalysts which accelerate the various cellular reactions. In general, the enzymes alkaline phosphatase (ALPase), acid phosphatase (ACPase), 5′-nucleotidase (5′-Nu) and glucose-6-phosphatase (G-6-Pase) have important

Amino Acid Phosphatase Activity of Alkaline Phosphatase [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Biochemistry, 1995
Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) hydrolyzed phosvitin and amino acid phosphates demonstrating non‐isotropy at different pH. Orthovanadate, a protein phosphatase inhibitor, more specifically inhibited the serine and tyrosine phosphatase activities of ALP than that of threonine phosphatase at concentrations >0.1 mM or 0.01 mM, respectively.

Imaging of alkaline phosphatase activity in bone tissue. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
The purpose of this study was to develop a paradigm for quantitative molecular imaging of bone cell activity. We hypothesized the feasibility of non-invasive imaging of the osteoblast enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP) using a small imaging molecule in ...
