Alkaline rocks of the deccan traps
Bulletin Volcanologique, 1971Recent investigations on the Deccan Traps reveal many new findings of alkaline rocks more commonly occurring as minor intrusions than as lava flows. In comparison to the vast extent of the Deccan Traps, the alkaline rocks are negligible in their volume and are confined to tectonic belts in parts of Western India.

Rb-Sr and U-Th-Pb systematics of alkaline rocks: the alkaline rocks from Italy
Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1976Abstract The isotopic composition of Pb and Sr and the abundances of Rb, Sr, U, Th, and Pb were determined for whole rock samples from all major volcanic centres of the Cenozoic alkaline volcanism of Central and South Italy, together with some samples from the contemporaneous anatectic Tuscan volcanism.

Peralkaline-Alkaline Felsic Rocks
2020A synthesis of available data on REE concentrations in peralkaline granites of India is presented. Although peralkaline granite-hosted REE deposits are known world over, and one such deposit has also been mined actively in Kola Peninsula of Russia, but in India such deposits have not yet been established.

What Is the "Calc-alkaline Rock Series"?
International Geology Review, 2002The "calc-alkaline" series of rocks was originally defined in the early 1930s on the basis of the "alkali-lime index" on a combined SiO2 versus (Na2O + K2O) and SiO2 versus CaO plot.

A petrographic study of the alkaline rocks at Sivamalai
Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences, 1949—Sir Thomas Holland proposed the termSivamalai Series to include a group of alkaline rocks which are prevalent in the neighbourhood of Sivamalai in the Coimbatore District. Since the publication of Holland’s Memoir little attention has been paid to them. As a result of detailed petrographic study of the rock types of this area a geological map has been

Alkaline basic igneous rocks in the Orkneys
Scottish Journal of Geology, 1969Synopsis A group of alkaline basic igneous rocks in the eastern part of the Orkney Islands is described as seen in the field and petrographically. The rocks differ from the andesitic and calc-alkaline Old Red Sandstone igneous rocks of Shetland and the Scottish mainland.
