Petrology and geochemistry of volcanic and subvolcanic rocks in the south of Asagi igneous complex, northwest of Zahedan, Sistan Suture Zone [PDF]

open access: yesپترولوژی
IntroductionThe Asagi igneous complex is located in the northwest of Zahedan city (Figure 1A) and is part of a southeast–northwest trending magmatic belt. The igneous rocks of this belt were formed during at least two distinct periods.

URANIUM IN ALKALINE ROCKS

open access: yes, 1978
Geologic and geochemical criteria were developed for the occurrence of economic uranium deposits in alkaline igneous rocks. A literature search, a limited chemical analytical program, and visits to three prominent alkaline-rock localities (Ilimaussaq, Greenland; Pocos de Caldas, Brazil; and Powderhorn, Colorado) were made to establish criteria to ...

A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

LATE PALEOZOIC ALKALI-GRANITOID MAGMATISM OF SOUTHERN KAZAKHSTAN AND ITS ROLE IN THE FORMATION OF THE ORE-BEARING VOLCANIC STRUCTURES OF KENDYCTAS-CHU-ILI-BETPAK-DALA URANIUM ORE PROVINCE

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Геология и разведка, 2018
Areas of distribution of alkaline granitoids in southernKazakhstanhave been identified, most of which are located within the Kendyktas-Chu-Ili-Betpakdalin uranium-bearing province, traditionally considered as Late Devonian-early Carboniferous.

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.
