The present contribution will demonstrate that monomeric alkoxide compounds can be formed by the use of the Salen(tBu) ligand. These alkoxides, LAlOR (with L=Salen (tBu), R=Me (1), Salomphen(tBu), R=Me (3) and L=Salen(tBu), R=Et (4)) feature five-coordinate monomeric aluminum (Salen(tBu)=N,N′-ethylenebis(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylideneimine) and ...

AbstractA series of novel, air sensitive alkoxides of Mn(II) were prepared by alcoholysis reaction of Mn{N(SiMe3)2}2 · (THF), including sterically highly hindered derivatives soluble in organic solvents. The products, characterized by elemental analysis, reflectance spectroscopy and chemical behavior, range from amorphous coordination polymers and ...

Abstract Reactions of substituted N -lithium amides (RR′NLi) with heavier alkali metal alkoxides give rise to the corresponding heavier alkali metal amides. In this way, some N -sodium and N -potassium dialkylamides may be advantageously prepared in the pure state.

The reaction between titanium and zirconium isopropoxides in isopropanol, occasionally in the presence of barium isopropoxide, was studied at different temperatures. No complexation between the titanium and zirconium alkoxides was detected. A concentration region was revealed in which the three alkoxides coexist in solution.

π-Cyclopentadienyloxochloromolybdenum alkoxides
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1970Abstract Some π-cyclopentadienyloxochloromolybdenum alkoxides have been prepared by the interaction of di-π-cyclopentadienyloxomolybdenum dichloride with various primary and secondary alcohols and by the interaction of oxodichloromolybdenum dialkoxides with either cyclopentadiene or its sodium derivative.

AbstractNovel extremely oxygen sensitive (many pyrophoric) alkoxides of Cr(II) were prepared by alcoholysis of Cr[N(SiMe3)2]2LL′, where L, L′ = ether, THF, or Py. They were characterized by elemental analyses, reflectance spectroscoppy, solubility, and chemical behavior.Solubility of the alkoxides is influenced most by drying conditions.

AbstractReactions of aluminium chloride with alcohols (ethyl and isopropyl) and the reverse reactions of hydrogenchloride with aluminium ethoxide and isopropoxide in benzene medium have been investigated. The products isolated in both the cases have nearly the same analyses and show similar changes on being heated to definite temperatures under reduced

Alkoxides of Trivacant Lacunary Polyoxometalates
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2017AbstractLacunary polyoxometalates (POMs) are useful rigid multidentate inorganic ligands to construct multinuclear metal oxo clusters and inorganic‐organic hybrid materials. However, the use of multivacant lacunary POMs often suffers from their undesired condensation reactions at the highly reactive vacant sites.
