Chemoselectivity in Gold(I)-Catalyzed Propargyl Ester Reactions: Insights From DFT Calculations

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2019
Au-catalyzed propargyl ester reactions have been investigated by a comprehensive density functional theory (DFT) study. Our calculations explain the experimental observed chemoselectivity of Au-catalyzed propargyl ester reactions very well by considering

Gold-Catalyzed Synthesis of 2-Sulfenylspiroindolenines via Spirocyclizations

open access: yesMolbank, 2018
2-Phenylsulfenyl-N-propargyl tryptamines have been prepared by electrophilic sulfuration of the corresponding tryptamines. These compounds undergo gold-catalyzed spirocyclizations to the corresponding 2-phenylthiospiroindolenines in good yields.

Copper-catalyzed dehydrogenative borylation of terminal alkynes with pinacolborane. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
LCuOTf complexes [L = cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (CAACs) or N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs)] selectively promote the dehydrogenative borylation of C(sp)-H bonds at room temperature.

Plasma‐Polymerized Nanoparticles Presenting Fibrillin‐1 Drive Rapid Re‐Endothelialization of Vascular Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Commercial vascular grafts are made from ePTFE, a highly hydrophobic, foreign material that fails at a high rate in small‐diameter applications. Plasma polymer nanoparticles (PPN) are a versatile material functionalisation tool, used here to present fibrillin‐1 fragment PF8 on the graft surface.
