Design and Application Research of All-Dielectric Nanostructure Colorful Display
Structural colors generated by plasmonic resonances in metallic nanostructures have been intensively studied and exciting progress has been made. However, because of the inherent plasmon damping, the saturation of these colors generated by metallic ...

All-Si valley-Hall photonic topological insulator
An all-Si photonic structure emulating the quantum-valley-Hall effect is proposed. We show that it acts as a photonic topological insulator (PTI), and that an interface between two such PTIs can support edge states that are free from scattering.

All-dielectric metamaterial frequency selective surface [PDF]
Frequency selective surface (FSS) has been extensively studied due to its potential applications in radomes, antenna reflectors, high-impedance surfaces and absorbers. Recently, a new principle of designing FSS has been proposed and mainly studied in two

All-dielectric χ(2) metasurfaces: recent progress
Optical metasurfaces, i.e. arrays of nanoantennas with sub-wavelength size and separation, enable the manipulation of light-matter interactions in miniaturized optical components with no classical counterparts.

Nonlinear Imaging with All-Dielectric Metasurfaces
Nonlinear metasurfaces incorporate many of the functionalities of their linear counterparts such as wavefront shaping but simultaneously they perform nonlinear optical transformations. This dual functionality leads to a rather unintuitive physical behavior which is still widely unexplored for many photonic applications.

All-fiber ellipsometer for nanoscale dielectric coatings
Multiple mode resonance shifts in tilted fiber Bragg gratings (TFBGs) are used to simultaneously measure the thickness and the refractive index of TiO2 thin films formed by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) on optical fibers.

Resonance Properties of Optical All-Dielectric Metamaterials Using Two-Dimensional Multipole Expansion [PDF]
We examine the electromagnetic response of metamaterial unit elements consisting of dielectric rods embedded in a non-magnetic background medium. We establish a theoretical framework where the response is described through the electric and magnetic ...
