Annealing studies of fission tracks in allanite
Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, 1975The annealing characteristics of fission tracks in allanite have been studied. All the tracks in the mineral fade at 720° C for one hour heating. The activation energy of allanite ranges from 1.4 to 3.4 eV.

Annealing of radiation damage in allanite and gadolinite
Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, 1993Samples of allanite and gadolinite with a range of alpha-recoil damage 0.1 to 3.0 dpa, were annealed in Ar and analysed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), infrared (IR) and differential thermal analysis (DTA).

Ion-probe determination of rare earths in allanite
Chemical Geology, 1985Abstract The epidote-group mineral allanite is characterised by a total RE content in the region of 20 wt.%, with light RE much more abundant than heavy. Only a few of the RE in allanite are within the range of electron-probe analysis, hence the determination of the complete abundance pattern has hitherto required physical separation and bulk ...

IR spectroscopical characteristics of metamict allanite-(Ce)
Geologica Macedonica, 2012Metamict samples of allanite-(Ce) were recrystallized in hydrothermal conditions at 150°C for 2, 5 and 24 h. The recrystallization of metamict samples was rapid and complete, without the appearance of additional phases when heated for 2 and 5 h, but when heated for 24 h, the structure is disturbed.
