A Versatile Strategy for Light‐Driven Active Transport of Ions
We report a light‐driven primary active transport system based on an azobenzene carrier that drives uphill ion movement across phase‐separated compartments. Tunable ion‐pairing enables selective co‐transport under buffered conditions, advancing synthetic systems that emulate biological ion pumps.
