Allelochemicals fromPilocarpus goudotianus leaves
Journal of Chemical Ecology, 1993The effect on germination, shoot, and root growth by bergapten, xanthotoxin, imperatorin, xanthyletin, xanthoxyletin, luvangetin, donatin and alloxanthoxyletol fromPilocarpus goudotianus leaves, onLactuca sativa var. nigra seedlings has been evaluated. A structure-activity correlation is discussed based on the bioassay results.

Sesquiterpene Lactones as Allelochemicals
Journal of Natural Products, 2006Six new sesquiterpene lactones, annuolide H (3), helivypolides F, H-J (4, 11-13), and helieudesmanolide A (6), together with known compounds, were isolated from polar bioactive fractions of Helianthus annuus cv. SH-222 and Stella fresh leaf water extracts.

Potential allelochemicals from Sambucus nigra
Phytochemistry, 2001Twenty-four aromatic metabolites belonging to cyanogenins, lignans, flavonoids, and phenolic glycosides were obtained from Sambucus nigra. Structures were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic features. Two compounds have been isolated and identified as (2S)-2-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid and benzyl 2-O-beta-D ...

Allelochemical Potential of Callicarpa acuminata
Journal of Chemical Ecology, 2003The allelochemical potential of Callicarpa acuminata (Verbenaceae) was investigated by using a biodirected fractionation study as part of a long-term project to search for bioactive compounds among the rich biodiversity of plant communities in the Ecological Reserve El Eden, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Fungal allelochemicals in insect pest management
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2016Interactions between insects and fungi are widespread, and important mediators of these interactions are fungal chemicals that can therefore be considered as allelochemicals. Numerous studies suggest that fungal chemicals can affect insects in many different ways.

Searching for Rice Allelochemicals
Agronomy Journal, 2001A bioactivity‐guided isolation method was developed with the objective of isolating the allelochemicals in rice (Oryza sativa L.). Roots of the allelopathic rice cultivar Taichung Native 1, grown hydroponically, were extracted and fractionated, with the activity of the fractions followed using a 24‐well culture plate microbioassay.
