Natural and Artificial Aging Methods For Silver Mock‐ups In Recent Conservation And Heritage Studies: A Short Review

We discuss the tarnishing issues of historical silver objects and review the silver (pure and sterling) aging methods employed in recent conservation and heritage studies, with a focus on chemical aging methods. The aging protocols used in the reference studies are tabulated for quick comparisons.

PPD is a marker of Disperse Orange 3 (DO 3)‐allergy. Exclusion of DO 3 is possible from the textile dye mix (TDM 6.6% pet.) since those allergic to textile dye mix 7.0% (44) plus those allergic to PPD and TDM 6.6% but negative to TDM 7.0% (13) outnumbers those allergic to TDM 6.6% (53).

Patch test results in a Dutch paediatric population with suspected contact allergy: A retrospective cohort study

Most frequent sensitizers in a Dutch paediatric population (N = 439). Of the 439 children and adolescents with suspected contact allergy, 334 (76%) had a positive patch test. Testing with only the European baseline series would underdiagnosed 20.3% of all patients tested.
