Optimization of Core–Shell Ternary Electrodes for High‐Performance Ionic Actuator in Soft Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A core–shell ternary electrode (Opt‐SWCNTs/PEDOT:PSS/IL) is developed via a simple two‐step dispersion and vacuum filtration process, with component ratios optimized to achieve excellent mechanical toughness and electrical conductivity based on simulation results.

Alliance polynomial of regular graphs [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Appl. Math. 225 (2017), 2015
The alliance polynomial of a graph $G$ with order $n$ and maximum degree $\Delta$ is the polynomial $A(G; x) = \sum_{k=-\Delta}^{\Delta} A_{k}(G) \, x^{n+k}$, where $A_{k}(G)$ is the number of exact defensive $k$-alliances in $G$. We obtain some properties of $A(G; x)$ and its coefficients for regular graphs.

Detecting Cr6+ at ≈100 pM Concentration with Fluorescence Enhancement Signatures in a Novel Eco‐Fluorophore: Matching WHO's 96 pM Recommended Standard for Drinking Water

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Through a dual‐functionalization strategy, carbon quantum dots (CQD) with exceptional fluorescence properties are engineered. These CQD are integrated with graphitic carbon nitride to form a 2D/2D heterostructure via both covalent and non‐covalent modification.

“You can’t really have a relationship with them because they just ask you questions”: understanding adolescent dropout – an empirical single case study

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
IntroductionHigh dropout rates are common in youth psychotherapy, including psychoanalytic psychotherapy, yet the reasons behind this trend remain obscure.

Mechanistic Insights into the Surface Instabilities of TiNb2O7, a High‐Power Li‐Ion Anode

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
TiNb2O7 is an attractive anode for Li‐ion batteries, particularly when safety is of the highest concern. However, despite operating at high potentials, electrolyte degradation is a major concern. It is demonstrated that throughout the entire charge‐discharge cycle a number of surface reactions occur which both produce gas and result in Ti dissolution ...

Experimental Study of Gas Microbubbles on Oil‐Infused Wrinkled Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Microbubbles are observed on both superhydrophobic (SHS) and lubricant‐infused surfaces (LIS) immersed to gassed water. The bubbles on LIS are stabilized by the lubricant cloaking layer, while bubbles on SHS shrink vertically over the same time frame.

Smart Fluorosurfactant‐Assisted Microfluidics Powered On‐Demand Generation and Retrieval of Cell‐Laden Microgels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A novel class of thermo‐responsive surfactants is developed for stabilizing and on‐demand demulsifying water‐in‐oil droplets in microfluidic systems. These surfactants enable temperature‐triggered recovery of cell‐laden hydrogel microgels without chemical demulsifiers. The approach offers a biocompatible and scalable solution for applications in tissue
