Computing the strong alliance polynomial of a graph [PDF]
We introduce the strong alliance polynomial of a graph. The strong alliance polynomial of a graph $G$ with order n and strong defensive alliance number $a(G)$ is the polynomial $a(G;x):=\sum_{i=a(G)}^{n}\, a_i(G)\ x^i$, where $a_{k}(G)$ is the number of strong defensive alliances with cardinality $k$ in $G$.

Defensive Alliances in Graphs [PDF]
A set $S$ of vertices of a graph is a defensive alliance if, for each element of $S$, the majority of its neighbours are in $S$. We study the parameterized complexity of the Defensive Alliance problem, where the aim is to find a minimum size defensive alliance.

The Angiopep‐2 peptide density on polymeric nanoparticles significantly impacts blood–brain barrier (BBB) penetration. This study explores this nuanced relationship using various in vitro models and in vivo assays, revealing that dynamic models better predict BBB penetration.

High‐Entropy Magnetism of Murunskite
The study of murunskite (K2FeCu3S4) reveals that its magnetic and orbital order emerges in a simple I4/mmm crystal structure with complete disorder in the transition metal positions. Mixed‐valence Fe ions randomly occupy 1/4 of the tetrahedral sites, with the remaining 3/4 being filled by non‐magnetic Cu+ ions.

Modeling the formation of R\&D alliances: An agent-based model with empirical validation [PDF]
We develop an agent-based model to reproduce the size distribution of R\&D alliances of firms. Agents are uniformly selected to initiate an alliance and to invite collaboration partners. These decide about acceptance based on an individual threshold that is compared with the utility expected from joining the current alliance.

Iridium Oxide Inverse Opal Anodes with Tailored Porosity for Efficient PEM Electrolysis
The synthesis of Iridium‐based Inverse Opals (Ir‐IO) is reported as electrocatalyst for Proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEM‐WE). Using the developed protocol it produces highly porous materials consisting either of metallic, oxidic Iridium or a combination thereof with large surface areas.

The dynamic polarization reversal of coexisting normal and relaxor ferroelectrics in 1D TMAPbI₃ (tetramethylammonium, TMA) is deciphered through combined experimental and theoretical approaches. By bridging atomic‐scale motion, macroscopic polarization switching, and depolarization effects, a universal methodology is established to engineer next ...
