It has been demonstrated that, in the bone extracellular matrix (ECM), integrins and growth factor receptors (GFRs) engage in synergistic signaling to guide bone healing and regeneration. This review provides a comprehensive overview of current strategies using ECM‐derived peptides to recreate the cellular microenvironment and harness synergistic ...

Objective Despite substantial progress in recent years, graft survival beyond the first year still requires improvement. Since modern immunosuppression addresses mainly T-cell activation and proliferation, we studied macrophage infiltration into the ...

Bioinspired Tissue Transparency: Achieving Sclera‐to‐Cornea Transplantation
A bioinspired decellularization‐compression‐locking tactic (DCLT) is developed to transform human sclerae into transparent corneal substitutes. These clear, robust, and pro‐regenerative substitutes are capable of repairing complex corneal injuries, including chemical burns, keratoconus, and penetrating wounds, demonstrating their clinical potential to ...

M2 Macrophages Serve as Critical Executor of Innate Immunity in Chronic Allograft Rejection
Allograft functional failure due to acute or chronic rejection has long been a major concern in the area of solid organ transplantation for decades. As critical component of innate immune system, the macrophages are unlikely to be exclusive for driving ...

In heart transplantation, there is a lack of robust evidence of the specific causes of late allograft failure. We hypothesized that a substantial fraction of failing heart allografts may be associated with antibody‐mediated injury and immune‐mediated ...

Donor‐derived tdTomato+ mature hepatocytes were FACS‐isolated and transplanted into Fah−/− host mice. During regeneration, these cells convert into proliferative, unipotent Afp+ rHeps. Their plasticity is governed by a PPARγ/AFP‐dependent metabolic switch, segregating into pro‐proliferative Afplow and pro‐survival Afphigh subpopulations.

Cytokine‐engineered CAR‐T cells represent a promising immunotherapy against malignancies due to direct tumor killing and potent immunity response. However, significant toxicities, including CRS and ICANS, have restricted clinical applications. How to keep the risk‐benefit balance of the advanced therapy is of great importance for maximizing the benefit

Nested Selves: Self‐Organization and Shared Markov Blankets in Prenatal Development in Humans
Abstract The immune system is a central component of organismic function in humans. This paper addresses self‐organization of biological systems in relation to—and nested within—other biological systems in pregnancy. Pregnancy constitutes a fundamental state for human embodiment and a key step in the evolution and conservation of our species. While not
