Enabling Wide‐Temperature Range Li‐S Batteries via Asymmetric‐Coordinated Titanium Sites‐Implanted Graphene Single‐Atom Electrocatalysts

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A Ti‐based single‐atom catalyst featuring isolated Ti atoms anchored on reduced graphene oxide (Ti‐rGO) has been successfully synthesized as a sulfur host material. This Ti‐rGO composite effectively integrates the robust adsorption capacity of Ti‐O5 coordination groups toward LiPSs with the rapid mass transport kinetics inherent to its porous ...

Inconel 690 Alloy Crystal Growth Orientation under Different Vibration Waveforms

open access: yesMATERIALS TRANSACTIONS, 2007
The crystal growth orientation of Inconel 690 alloy solidified under the application of additional kinetic energy was studied. By using an eccentric-mass electric motor for transmitting the kinetic energy to a melting pool, liquid atoms attained kinetic energy that enabled them to strike the solid-liquid interface during solidification.

Effect of exposure cycle on hot salt stress corrosion of a titanium alloy [PDF]

open access: yes
The influence of exposure cycle on the hot-salt stress-corrosion cracking resistance of the Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V alloy was determined. Both temperature and stress were cycled simultaneously to simulate turbine-powered aircraft service cycles.

Boosting Electron‐Hole Charge Separation in CO2 Photoreduction through Fluoroporphyrin‐Linked Nickel(II)‐Acetylide Frameworks

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A NiII‐acetylide framework, H2TFPP‐Ni‐AF, demonstrates outstanding photocatalytic CO2 reduction performance: 13.16 mmol h−1 g−1 of CO with 97.9% selectivity. Synergistic interactions, including d‐p orbital hybridization within NiII‐bis(acetylide) moieties ( − C ≡ C−NiII(PBu3)2 − C ≡ C − ) and the efficient charge transport afforded by π‐conjugated ...

Fretting wear damage mechanism of Inconel 690 alloy tube in nuclear power plant

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
The steam generator is subjected to the action of high temperature and high-pressure steam, and the flow induced vibration phenomenon of its heat transfer tube is caused by the secondary lateral flow.

Electrochemical Design of Atomically Conformal Ga2O3 Buffer Layers via Cu2O‐Catalyzed Nitrate Reduction Reaction for Efficient Cu2O Photocathodes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Cu2O catalyzes nitrate reduction to locally generate OH− at the electrode surface, enabling the first uniform electrochemical deposition of Ga2O3. The Cu2O/Ga2O3‐based photocathodes achieve onset potentials above 1 VRHE, 3.8% solar‐to‐hydrogen efficiency, and stable operation for over 60 h in all‐inorganic tandem PEC devices.

Synergetic Heterophase and Selective Defect Engineering of Nano Multicomponent Alloys for Rechargeable Zn–Air Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
An fcc/bcc with defects (bcc‐d) MCA is designed by utilizing the interplay between heterophase and selective defect engineering and exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity suitable for high‐performance zinc–air batteries. The synergistic catalysis of the fcc/bcc‐d breaks the universal linear‐scaling relationships of adsorbed multi‐intermediates ...

The Osmium Isotope Signature of Phanerozoic Large Igneous Provinces

open access: yesGeophysical Monograph Series, Page 229-246., 2021

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.
