Spark alloying of an AL9 alloy by hard alloys
Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2015The phase compositions of spark coatings of Kh12M steel with a VT1-0 (titanium) alloy and T15K6 and T30K4 hard alloys are studied. It is shown that the TiC titanium carbide forms in all cases and tungsten carbide decomposes with the formation of tungsten in a coating. These processes are intensified by increasing time, capacitance, and frequency.

TOPHEL ALLOY, NIAL ALLOY, NICROSIL/NISIL ALLOYS, 20 and 19 ALLOYS
Alloy Digest, 1992Abstract TOPHEL Alloy and NIAL Alloy are respectively the positive and negative thermoelements for ISA Type K thermocouples. NICROSIL/NISIL Alloys are respectively the positive and negative thermoelements of ISA Type N thermocouples. Thermocouples of 20 and 19 Alloys have the advantage of freedom from green rot preferential oxidation ...

Alloying of aluminum-beryllium alloys
Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2013The existing phase diagrams of Al-Be-X alloys, where X is an alloying element, are analyzed. Element X is noted to poorly dissolve in both aluminum and beryllium. It is shown that the absence of intermetallic compounds in the Al-Be system affects the phase equilibria in an Al-Be-X system.

Alloying Aluminum Alloys with Scandium
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 2017Methods and procedures are discussed for more economic and effective use of scandium for alloying aluminum alloys. Specifically, it is recommended to introduce scandium and zirconium into aluminum alloys in a 1 : 1 ratio instead of the usual 3 : 1 with the same overall element content.

Effect of micro-alloying element La on corrosion behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloys
, 2020The effect of micro-alloying element La on the corrosion behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloys in 3.5 wt. % NaCl solution was investigated. The results demonstrate that micro-alloying La causes the formation of a microstructure with discrete short-rod like Si ...
