Complex alloying of titanium alloys

Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 1975
1. The effectiveness of complex alloying was established, in which the strength of both the α and β solid solutions increases, and the difference between their strengths decreases. This leads to more even plastic deformation and more complete utilization of the strength of the α and β phases. 2.

Heat-Resistant RuAl-Based Alloys: III. Powder Alloys—Mechanical Alloying

Inorganic Materials: Applied Research, 2021
Refractory (Tmelt = 2100 °C), heat-resistant ruthenium monoaluminide RuAl, lighter (ρ = 7.97 g/cm3) than Ni superalloys, is considered as a promising candidate material for operation at high temperatures and relatively low loads in high-speed gas oxidizing flows at temperatures higher not only operating temperatures, but also the melting temperatures ...

Alloying Aluminum Alloys with Scandium

Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 2017
Methods and procedures are discussed for more economic and effective use of scandium for alloying aluminum alloys. Specifically, it is recommended to introduce scandium and zirconium into aluminum alloys in a 1 : 1 ratio instead of the usual 3 : 1 with the same overall element content.

Properties of alloyed Ni?Be alloys

Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 1966
1. In Ni−Be spring alloys alloyed with Mo, Mo+B, W, and V the resistance to small plastic deformation increases. 2. The strengthening of Ni−Be alloys containing Mo, W, or V is due to the precipitation of a greater number of particles of the β'-phase because of the decrease in the solubility of Be in the nickel solid solution.
