ALLOZYME DIVERSITY IN THEOBROMA CACAO

Theobroma cacao is a morphologically diverse species. To understand variation within species, gene diversity estimates for a germplasm collection were calculated from allozyme data. Of nine enzymes assayed, six enzymes encoded by nine loci were found to be polymorphic.
