Jordan property for homeomorphism groups and almost fixed point property [PDF]
We study properties of continuous finite group actions on topological manifolds that hold true, for any finite group action, after possibly passing to a subgroup of index bounded above by a constant depending only on the manifold. These include the Jordan property, the almost fixed point property, as well as bounds on the discrete symmetry group.

Performance Analysis and Parameter Optimization of the Optimal Fixed-Point Quantum Search
The optimal fixed-point quantum search (OFPQS) algorithm [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113, 210501 (2014)] achieves both the fixed-point property and quadratic speedup over classical algorithms, which gives a sufficient condition on the number of iterations to ...

We use a concept of abstract convexity to define the almost - property, al- - family, and almost -spaces. We get some new approximate fixed point theorems and fixed point theorems in almost -spaces. Our results extend some results of other authors.

In the theory of Banach algebras, we use the Schauder fixed-point theorem to obtain some results that concern the existence property for mild solutions of fractional Cauchy problems that involve the Lie bracket operator, the almost sectorial operator ...

A Comparative Analysis of Force Deflection Property of Nickel-Titanium Wires of Four Manufacturers using Five Point Bending Test: An In-Vitro Study [PDF]
Introduction: Over the last century, material science has made rapid progress. In orthodontics, not only the materials improved, but also the philosophies have changed. Orthodontic wires, which generate biomechanical forces through brackets for tooth

PROBLEMS OF FORMATION OF TAX REVENUES OF THE BUDGET OF TERRITORIAL UNITS AND WAYS OF IT OVERCOMING [PDF]
Economic strength of territorial units is one of the most important factors for the economic development of the government. And for the economic stability of the territorial units it is crucial to have high level of financial decentralization and the ...

Żuk’s criterion for Banach spaces and random groups
We prove a Banach version of Żuk’s criterion for groups acting on partite (i.e., colorable) simplicial complexes. Using this new criterion, we derive a new fixed point theorem for random groups in the Gromov density model with respect to several classes ...

The almost fixed point property is not invariant under isometric renormings [PDF]
AbstractIn the present note we prove the non set-stability of the AFPP under isometric renormings in the setting of Banach spaces containing a complemented isomorphic copy of $$c_0$$ c 0 or $$\ell _1$$ ℓ
