1 W Single‐Mode Large‐Area Edge‐Emitting Laser via Non‐Hermitian Spatial Mode Filtering
We demonstrate a non‐Hermitian spatial mode filtering approach for achieving high‐power single‐mode operation in large‐area edge‐emitting laser diodes. By symmetrically coupling passive filter arrays to the main lasing waveguide, higher‐order transverse modes are effectively suppressed while preserving the fundamental mode.

On the Geometry of the Kähler Golden Manifold
The main objective of this paper is to investigate the properties related to the sectional curvatures of a Kähler golden manifold, an almost Hermitian golden manifold whose almost complex golden structure is parallel with respect to the Levi–Civita ...

A picopatch in a plasmonic nanocavity confines the electromagnetic energy to tiny effective volumes, close to 1nm3, leading to extreme electric field enhancements. Furthermore, a clear signature of strong coupling between the picopatch modes and other modes of the structure is obtained, which strongly modifies the far‐field response. ABSTRACT Plasmonic

Toric Hermitian surfaces and almost Kähler structures [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to investigate the class of compact Hermitian surfaces (M, g, J) admitting an action of the 2-torus T-2 by holomorphic isometries. We prove that if b(1)(M) is even and (M, g, J) is locally conformally Kahler and chi(M) not equal 0 then there exists an open and dense subset U subset of M such that (U, (g vertical bar U)) is ...

Flow 2.0: A Standardized Toolbox for Real‐Time Phase‐Contrast MRI of Neurofluid Dynamics
ABSTRACT Purpose Real‐time phase‐contrast MRI (RT‐PC) enables continuous quantification of physiological flow dynamics across multiple temporal frequencies, but its broader application is limited by complex and fragmented post‐processing workflows.

Abstract In the domain of battery research, the processing of high‐resolution microscopy images is a challenging task, as it involves dealing with complex images and requires a prior understanding of the components involved. The utilisation of deep learning methodologies for image analysis has attracted considerable interest in recent years, with ...

Marchenko–Pastur Laws for Daniell Smoothed Periodograms
ABSTRACT Given a sample X0,…,Xn−1$$ {X}_0,\dots, {X}_{n-1} $$ from a d$$ d $$‐dimensional stationary time series (Xt)t∈ℤ$$ {\left({X}_t\right)}_{t\in \mathbb{Z}} $$, the most commonly used estimator for the spectral density matrix F(θ)$$ F\left(\theta \right) $$ at a given frequency θ∈[0,2π)$$ \theta \in \left[0,2\pi \right) $$ is the Daniell smoothed ...

A Bochner formula for almost-quaternionic-Hermitian structures
This paper deals with Riemannian manifolds whose structural group is reduced to \(Sp_n\cdot Sp_1\), also called almost quaternionic-Hermitian manifolds. The covariant derivative with respect to the Levi-Civita connection of the fundamental 4-form of such a manifold is naturally interpreted as the intrinsic torsion of the above \(G\)-structure and, as ...

Sparse Causal Dynamic Linear Regression
ABSTRACT We develop a sparse causal dynamic regression framework for long multivariate time series. With very long time series, the potentially large number of lags and leads in a dynamic regression model often makes time‐domain estimation numerically unstable or intractable.

Shot‐Based Quantum Encoding: A Data‐Loading Paradigm for Quantum Neural Networks
Shot‐based quantum encoding loads classical data without any encoding gates: a learned map turns each datum into a probability vector that dictates how many measurement shots start in each basis state, preparing a mixed state that a shallow variational circuit processes as a quantum perceptron layer.
