A class of stochastic neural networks with discrete-time analogue is investigated in this paper. By employing contraction mapping principle and some stochastic analysis techniques, we establish some sufficient conditions for mean boundedness, global ...

AN ANTENNA BASED ON A HYBRID METAL–DIELECTRIC STRUCTURE [PDF]
Purpose: Nowadays, in the millimeter frequency range, the dielectric waveguides of various modifications have certain advantages over the standard metal waveguides, primarily due to the possibility of creating functional units based on them.

The method of estimating the period of an almost periodic sequence is proposed. The period of an almost periodic sequence is the length of the smallest periodic pattern that composes the corresponding completely periodic sequence by repetition.

Discrete complex exponentials are almost periodic signals, not always periodic; when periodic, the frequency determines the period, but not viceversa, the period being a chaotic function of the frequency, expressible in terms of Thomae's function.

Periodic stellar variability from almost a million NGTS light curves [PDF]
We analyse 829,481 stars from the Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) to extract variability periods. We utilize a generalisation of the autocorrelation function (the G-ACF), which applies to irregularly sampled time series data.

Rotation sets and almost periodic sequences [PDF]
We study the rotational behaviour on minimal sets of torus homeomorphisms and show that the associated rotation sets can be any type of line segments as well as non-convex and even plane-separating continua. This shows that restrictions holding for rotation sets on the whole torus are not valid on minimal sets.

Topological chaos, braiding and bifurcation of almost-cyclic sets [PDF]
In certain two-dimensional time-dependent flows, the braiding of periodic orbits provides a way to analyze chaos in the system through application of the Thurston-Nielsen classification theorem (TNCT).

A Stochastic Model of Noises for Periodic Symbol Sequences
The construction of almost periodic sequences is needed for the analysis of the cycles’ detection methods, identification of symbolic sequences’ features and sensitivity analysis.
